Google Web Accelerator Problems

Google's new Web Accelerator Program

Google's effort to speed the pace of Web browsing quickly aggravated some early users, who say that the software is delivering them Web pages under other users' logins and breaking Web applications.

In order to speed up the display of pages generally, Google Web Accelerator may store copies of web pages, including prefetched pages that you did not visit, in the Google Web Accelerator cache on your machine. This is separate from your browser's cache, which only identifies pages that you actually visited.

Google Tracks User Behavior

Google Patent Specification and Tracking Surfer Behavior

Google has recently filed a patent that details many points that Google uses to rank web pages. The title of the patent is Information retrieval based on historical data and it reveals details of algorithms that Google uses in addition to its main ranking algorithms.

I read recently in an industry newsletter that "Google's aging delay (better know as the sandbox effect) has teeth, and they're taking a bite out of spam!"

Well as we all know, Google relies heavily on links in the determination of a websites ranking.
